The prestigious Prince’s Trust Diamond Ball raised thousands to help young people
Liverpool’s iconic Cunard Building was the venue for this year’s Prince’s Trust Diamond Ball.
The annual event, sponsored by Inspired Energy PLC, raised £140,000 for the youth charity, who help disadvantaged young people into work, training or educational opportunities.
Performances during the evening came from singer Paul Young and music group Chocolate Charlie, who entertained guests during a festive four course meal. The black tie event, which has raised more than £700,000 since it began 13 years ago, also included a Laurent-Perrier champagne reception and an auction offerering guests the opportunity to win an array of exclusive prizes including tickets to the Wimbledon final 2017 and a Cunard Transatlantic Crossing on theQueen Mary 2.
Founder of the Diamond Ball and Prince’s Trust ambassador for regional development, Steve Sealey, said: ‘It’s fantastic that in its special 40th anniversary year, The Prince’s Trust has been able to host The Diamond Ball at the magnificent Cunard Building. It’s been wonderful to see so many guests taking part this evening to raise funds which are so importantly needed if the youth charity is to continue its work across the North West.’
