Furry animals, face painting and farming fun were on the agenda at Stockfest in Northwich.

A carnival atmosphere filled Stockley Farm, Northwich, for its annual family festival, Stockfest.

The two day event, which as well as farm animals featured live music and workshops, saw families from across the Cheshire area attend to enjoy the festivities. This year’s Brazilian themed event, to tie in with the Rio Olympics, featured drumming tuition, Latin American dancing and local theatre schools showcasing their talents at the Stockley ‘Samba Drome’.

Kat de Suza, organiser, said: ‘We were really lucky with the weather, the Sunday was glorious! At the end of each day we held a carnival parade led by our Shetland pony, Duncan, and all the children wore the headbands, carnival masks and shakers they had made.

The feedback has been great and we’re already looking forward to next year, especially as it’s the 30th anniversary of the farm so it will be a big celebration.’
