Wellington boots were certainly the dress code for this year’s Westmorland County Show, which hosted thousands of visitors

Come rain or shine, country lovers will always brave the elements to visit the annual Westmorland County Show.

The event welcomed thousands of visitors across a rather muddy weekend, who enjoyed everything from agricultural competitions, show jumping and local food producers to rural crafts, birds of prey demonstrations and of course the traditional Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling.

The show chief executive Christine Knipe said: ‘There were thousands of smiling faces throughout the showground. A massive thank you goes to the exhibitors - livestock and trade, demonstrators and contractors, along with the hundreds of judges and volunteer stewards who were such a vital part of this annual event.’
