An estimated 5,000 people visited the fields surrounding Marsh Nurseries for the inaugural ParkgateFest.
The two day event, organised and run by local residents and traders, featured everything from musical entertainment and a parade to classic cars and steam engines, street food stalls and a champagne, beer and gin marquee. Proceeds from the family-friendly event will be donated to the Parkgate Vision, a plan for a variety of improvements to the Parkgate community area.
David Johnson from the Parkgate Society said: ‘What an amazing weekend, that I can honestly say brought tears to our eyes. It was hard work setting it all up, but was so enjoyable and seeing so many happy families was the icing on the cake.’
