The winners were announced at a glittering celebration at Nunsmere Hall.

It was glamour-meets-gourmet as famous faces and industry gamechangers turned out for the Cheshire Life Food & Drink Awards 2019.

Held for the first time at Nunsmere Hall Hotel near Tarporley, the biggest event of its kind in the North West celebrated the leading lights of the county's culinary scene.

The evening began with Slingsby Gin cocktails on the hotel terrace before the 250 guests moved inside the grand marquee for a three-course dinner prepared by Head Chef Mark Burke and his team.

And then, the main event; 14 awards were given out in total. Gary Usher, the mastermind behind Newcomer winner Kala bistro and no less than five other restaurants in the North West, picked up the coveted Chef of the Year award while Frodsham's Restaurant Next Door won Restaurant of the Year and The Sutton Gamekeeper in Macclesfield was awarded Dining Pub of the Year.
