The glitzy Lancashire Tourism Awards event celebrated the brightest stars of the industry.
Blackpool's world-famous Pleasure Beach Arena, was the venue for Marketing Lancashire's annual Lancashire Tourism Awards.
Professional ice-skater Daniel Whiston, who was born in the resort and learned to skate in the Arena, was guest presenter at the event which was supported by headline sponsor, University of Central Lancashire and host sponsor VisitBlackpool. Lancashire Life were, once again, media partners for the glittering event.
In all, 22 awards were presented to the businesses and individuals who made 2019 so successful for the county's tourism industry.
In her opening speech, the chief executive of Marketing Lancashire Rachel McQueen, said:
'There are many reasons why almost 69 million visitors a year choose to come to Lancashire - for our events, attractions, hotels, pubs, restaurants, our stunning coastline, beautiful countryside, heritage, culture and lots more. Lancashire's amazing tourism businesses and the people who run them.'
Lancashire's Tourism Superstar Award 2019 was the only award nominated and voted for by the public and was awarded to Nigel Seddon, Managing Director of Elgin Hotel & Hotel Sheraton.
