Megan Ellaby, @meganellaby

Megan Ellaby is one of the UK’s best-known fashion bloggers, with over 200,000 loyal followers on her Instagram page. She describes herself as a ‘twenty-something Mancunian with a huge love for colour and print’, and her feed is filled with fun patterns and statement pieces – think green flares, striped blazers and polka-dot suits. Her two sausage dogs, Peter and Nancy, make regular appearances too. Megan is also the founder of her very own fashion brand, Saturday by Megan Ellaby, with an online shop that allows you to copy this fashionista’s signature colourful style.

Sophia Rosemary, @sophiarosemary

Sophia is another big name on Northern fashion scene, and her Instagram feed and blog offer a lesson in vintage style with a modern twist. We’re big fans of her floral blouses and cute dungarees, but her account certainly isn’t just about clothes. Sophia also offers endless interior design inspo, and we love the Book Club that she runs on her stories (head to her highlights if you’re in need of things to add to your reading list). Her gorgeous Golden Retriever has his own, nearly 4000 follower-strong, Instagram account too – be prepared for cuteness overload.

Onyi Moss, @mossonyi

When it comes to aesthetically pleasing Instagram feeds, it doesn’t get much better than this one. Onyi Moss is a self-taught photographer based in Manchester, and she runs her blog alongside her husband Craig. Together they create content that covers everything from fashion to travel, and her photos are sure to give you some serious wanderlust. Happy scrolling...

Lydia Tomlinson, @lydiajanetomlinson

Behold, the Queen of oversized blazers and high waisted trousers. Lydia’s Instagram account will give you all the inspiration that you could possibly need for smart, chic fashion, or you could head over to her home account if you’re in search of some interior design ideas. Her blog, The Millennial Girl’s Guide, promises to teach you everything you need to know about ‘mastery, survival, and how to live life with sass and style’.

Samio, @samiorenelda

Since first starting it back in 2013, Samio has been sharing her travel diaries, mindfulness habits, style ideas and home tips on her eponymous blog. The Manchester-based influencer says that her fashion choices focus on ‘quality over quantity, with the belief that it doesn’t have to always be ‘new’ to look good’, so her feed is a great place to go if you’re in search of environmentally conscious style inspiration. For more sustainable fashion ideas, take a look at Sadie’s Instagram account – she designs, makes and packages bright and beautiful clothes from her studio in North Wales, and her handmade dungarees are the stuff of dreams. Domain’s Instagram feed is the place to go if you’re in search of super stylish men’s fashion - expect plenty of smart tailoring, and collaborations with top brands like Umbro. He’s also the founder of the lavish events and marketing company, MCR Fashion Industry.

That Grace Girl, @thatgracegirl

When it comes to beauty and skincare, Grace has got it covered. The Manchester-local started her blog back in 2011, after finding that there was a lack of information online about the best products for treating acne. “I had had acne since I was a teenager, and when I got to university, I said to myself ‘I shouldn’t have acne anymore because I’m an adult!’ I was starting to get really annoyed about it, and about the fact that I was trying all these products and none of them were working for me,” Grace says. “So I decided to start the blog because I hadn’t really found any answers online to my questions. I thought I would document my whole journey with clearing up my acne, so that’s where it started.” She now does product reviews and recommendations, as well as creating content and being a skincare coach, which means that she helps people to find the products that are best for them. “I write as my day job so it’s my happy place, and I like the creative side of taking the photos too,” she reasons. “I also really like being able to help people and have people commenting to say that their skin has been transformed because they’ve used a product that I have recommended.”

Well I Guess This is Growing Up, @karenanita

Karen Clough is the creative force behind Well I Guess This is Growing Up, a Manchester-based colour and culture blog with a focus on all things interior design and travel. She started the blog after buying a delapidated 1930s home back in 2011. “It had no kitchen, no bathroom – it was almost in an abandoned state. We sort of picked things up as we went along, and we had no experience, just a lot of enthusiasm,” she recalls. “I think we started the blog because given that we were taking on such a challenge, a lot of our family were really interested, so we just used it as a way of documenting our progress.” Karen has since moved to a Victorian semi-detached home with her husband and daughter, and her Instagram feed gives us a peek inside – and it truly is the stuff of an interior designer’s dream. The home is full of bursts of colour, with some seriously cool wallpaper, and for Karen, sharing her design journey online means being part of a wider community. “Originally it was very one-way, with me just sharing my personal experience, but over the years I’ve started to get advice back from other people too,” she explains. “If I am struggling with a decision or need a local tradesman, I know I can speak to other people in the area who have done something similar.”

Fabric of my Life, @fabricofmylife

“I started blogging in May 2009 when I was a freelance styling assistant, working with UK publications such as Elle Decoration, Living etc and Wallpaper*,” explains the founder of Fabric of my Life, Kate Baxter. “Having spent all day assisting other stylists with their creative vision, I wanted to create my own little corner of cyberspace to devote to discovering my own interior passions and sense of style.” Fast forward 11 years, and Kate’s blog covers everything her favourite places in the North of England, through to destinations further afield. She says that The Northern Quarter and Ancoats are home to many of her favourite independent gems, such as Evelyn’s, Just Between Friends, Pollen Bakery, Trove, Form Lifestyle Store and Beaumont Organic. A big focus is her own interior style, which she describes as ‘Scandifornian’, or in other words Scandinavian minimalism with more laid back and textural styling. It will come as no surprise, then, that her Instagram feed is the stuff of dreams. “I love that I have a window back into my world at various points in my life – a diary that captures not only what I was doing at that time but also the brands, people, places and styles that most inspired me,” Kate reflects.

Mairead Turner, @maireadturner

Mairead is an Anglesey-based interior designer, and her Instagram is characterised by glorious seaside views, floral wallpapers and country kitchens – what more could you possibly want? She is a colour and pattern specialist (which helps to explain why her feed is quite so beautiful), and she works both independently and alongside other designers and collaborators. Can Mairead redesign our house, please?

Dotty Dishes, @dottydishes

Dotty Dishes is a Manchester-based lifestyle blog, spearheaded by Beth Parnell and covering all things dining, destination and décor. “I’ve always loved cooking and I often brought dishes I’d made into work and people kept saying ‘you should start a food blog’, so I did,” she explains. Her Instagram feed is dedicated to her culinary creations, documenting the dishes she’s made herself, as well as one’s she’s tried at local foodie hotspots – warning: scrolling will make you want to eat everything. On her blog you can find restaurant reviews from across the local area, too. “We are so fortunate to have so many great restaurants in the Manchester area. One of my repeat visits is Libby’s in Marple Bridge, which is great for any meal (their cakes are incredible), but at dinner time they serve Italian inspired small plates and everything is delicious,” Beth recommends. “Whilst the blog started as a food blog, I added a travel section not long after it started, as I think they are something that very much go hand in hand,” Beth says. The blog also has an interior design section, and Beth runs a separate interiors Instagram account too.

With a staggering 1.3 million followers, it’s safe to say that Wilmslow local Bela has taken the world of Instagram by storm. Her feed covers all things fashion, make-up and fitness, and her Tiktoks can’t help but make you smile either.
