Eight friends won a holiday at the exclusive Royal Westmoreland Hotel in Barbados at the Abbeystead Shoot which was held on the Duke of Westminster’s Lancashire estate and raised £20,000 for good causes.

ABF The Soldiers’ Charity was the main beneficiary of the ninth annual event and among those in attendance were Chelsea Pensioner Steve Allen from Preston and triple amputee Andy Reid, from Wigan.

Bentley Motors was the title sponsor for the event, which included an auction of prizes ranging from diamond jewellery to gastronomic experiences at Northcote. The event has raised more than £250,000 since it was launched by Lancaster PR and events firm Samuelson Wylie Associates.
