Guests at a 1960s themed ball helped to raise £32,000 for a charity set up in remembrance of 14-year-old Nicola Riley.

A Groovy Kind of Ball held in the Pavilion Suite at Chester Racecourse, raised money for Nicola’s Fund, a charity started by Debbie and Steve Riley, parents of the teenager who died from a brain tumour.

A champagne reception greeted guests before a Beatles tribute band and a disco entertained throughout the evening. Proceeds from the ball will go directly towards helping the charity provide memorable holidays for severely ill children and their families.
