Ladies, put a sparkle into your summer and come to Haydock Park on August 6 for the Betfred Rose of Lancaster Stakes Ladies’ Day
The newly-enhanced Ladies’ Day at Haydock Park will feature the richest Ladies’ race run in Europe, The Betfred Haydock Park Ladies’ Derby, as well as the famous Rose of Lancaster Stakes (RoL), both live on Channel 4. The racecourse is expecting to attract all the current top female jockeys, the likes of Serena Brotherton, Josephine Gordon, Rosie Jessop and Megan Nicholls for the Ladies’ Derby.
Filled with fashion, style and music, racegoers also have the opportunity of being crowned the winner of the Rose of Lancaster Style Stakes competition. Enter one of the following categories to be in with a chance of winning a holiday, designer clothing, a VIP Hospitality experience at the 2017 Randox Health Grand National, a Vivienne Westwood handbag and much more!
RoL Style Stakes competition categories:
Fabulous Female Fashionista: open to all individual female contestants
Gloriously Groomed Gent: open to all individual male contestants
Gorgeous Group: open to groups of friend between four and six people
Chic Couple: open to couples only
To enter the competition on the day, get yourself snapped in front of the Style Stakes frame for a chance of winning fabulous prizes, as well as receiving a free souvenir photograph to take away with you. The winners will be chosen by the RoL Style Stakes Judging Panel which will be announced very shortly.

The day will form a part of the TENsational Saturday’s series with music after racing from the glamourous Radio 2 DJ Jo Whiley, who will be performing a Party in the Paddock after the last race - free to all ticket holders. Also, The Soundettes will be performing before and during racing on the Markerfield Lawn Stage for those who want a pre-gig warm up!
Haydock’s North West sister course, Carlisle, is hosting an #AmazingMonday Ladies Night on August 1 for one of Carlisle’s most glamourous nights out. It’s a unique raceday and the only fixture in world where all the races are ridden by female jockeys. In support of the female element to the racing, Jockey Club Racecourses – North West is offering any female jockey who rode a winner at the Carlisle #AmazingMonday on August 1 and rides the winner of the Betfred Haydock Park Ladies Derby a Jockey Club ‘partnership’ to the value of £20,000 – this in addition to the prize money on offer!
