Cotswold Life’s Tim Thurston hosted a select group of clients at the prestigious Stanbrook Abbey in Callow End, Worcestershire, for afternoon tea.
The guests mingled before sitting down to a selection of fresh loose-leaf teas or freshly-brewed coffee, finger sandwiches, dainty cakes, and homemade scones with clotted cream and jam. They then had the chance for a guided tour of the hotel, which is set in a 50-acre estate with gardens, orchard, willow lake and 109-foot bell tower. The hotel also features 57 beautifully appointed bedrooms, including former nuns’ cells, as well as a stunning Grade II-listed Pugin abbey, formerly a silent order monastery.
