£20,000 was raised at a charity event held at Briars Hall, Lathom.
Attended by 150 guests, £19,944 was raised for the Ear, Nose and Throat department on Ward 28 at Aintree University Hospital through a raffle and auction. Prizes included Ricky Hatton’s boxing gloves and an apartment in Spain for a week. The money raised will be spilt into several things to benefit the ward. Entertainment included a magician and Brazilian dancers.
Organiser Rebecca Williams said: ‘It was a really successful event and everyone enjoyed it. I have already had people asking me if we’re going to do another one next year.’
