Flames and fire greeted 180 guests at The Pines Hotel, Clayton-le-Woods, for the All Hallows Catholic High School ball.

The event, held to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Penwortham school, saw guests enjoy welcome drinks and a four course meal.

Headteacher, Chris Riding, gave a presentation on 40 years of the school and welcomed guests who attended the first and early years and a performance of Les Miserables songs from three current pupils.

Betty Balloons provided table prizes and entertainment included singing from Stephen Bayliss followed by DJ Darrel Edwards and Xtreme Entertainers stilt walkers.
