The inaugural All Shades of Purple Charity Ball was held at the Hilton Hotel, on Deansgate, in Manchester.

It was organised by Kirsty Tattler Marshall and her husband Ben Marshall in aid of Epilepsy Action, a condition which Kirsty, a singer and pianist, suffers from. Over 150 people attended the occasion and enjoyed an evening of dinner and dancing followed by entertainment from musicians Tom and Jerry, and a performance from Kirsty herself. The event raised over £4,000 for the charity.

Kirsty said: ‘It was such a magical evening; it went well beyond our expectations. Everyone was so supportive. Epilepsy is something that most people don’t know much about, so to raise awareness is really important for me personally.’ w
