Celebrating everything alternative, Retro, LGBT and quirky vintage in the wedding world. Throughout the day, there will be burlesque dancing and risqué entertainment which makes our Wedding Spectacular unique.

The 18+ event is themed ‘Bygone to Bondage’, with alternative and daring designers displaying their stunning and most unusual wedding fashion, accessories, photography, cakes and much more. Guests are encouraged to ‘dress to impress’. Sponsors include: Two Brides - an on-line Lesbian magazine, The Butch Clothing Company - Gay women clothing brand and Crown and Glory - Alternative Bridal Hair Accessories.

Organiser Lesley Taylor said: “The first QQW, held at Proud Cabaret in Kemptown, was received very well and the varied folk of Brighton and surrounding area really appreciated such an alternative wedding fair. We definitely have a winning formula so I decided to move the next fair to a central Brighton location. The Corn Exchange is a magnificent venue and we are quadrupling exhibitor space too.

“Our chosen charity is MindOut, a Brighton based mental health service run by and for lesbians, gay men, bisexual and transgender people. As well as receiving 25% of proceeds from our Prize Bonanza draw, we will be encouraging people to donate their small change at the door and Julia Arts will be providing free body art and glitter tattoos in exchange for a small donation.”

Designers include Oh My Honey, Victorian Gothic and Dig for Victory. Other notable exhibitors include Victoria Gugenheim - world class body painter, Doggy Doodles - who will be exhibiting high end doggie wedding fashion, Sussex Falconry - with their display of live birds of Prey, Moving Pictures - who will have a Live Boudoir Set and Hollie Shannon from Skin Candy Tattoo Studio in Brighton will be tattooing throughout the day. A fetish duo dressed in wedding outfits will make hourly appearances. A full exhibitor list is available on the QQW website.

There will also be hourly entertainment including a Cupid burlesque dance by Ruby Deshabillé, displays of maddening genius from the Pyromaniac’s crew and music from the Voodoo Love Orchestra. Jaunty Twig will be providing a live slideshow of photos crowd-sourced from guests during QQW.

Hosting the day is our ‘Ringmaster and Mistress of Ceremonies’ ex strangler’s lead singer, Paul Roberts and Chichester’s own Vintage legend, Dawn Gracie.

Five lucky attendees will also win a share of the ‘Prize Bonanza’ which consists of prizes donated from every exhibitor.
