Fizz fans enjoyed trying and buying over 50 champagnes and sparkling wines from around the world at the UK’s first Fizz Festival.
The sell-out event took place at Altrincham Town Hall, and included a Fizz Festival People’s Choice Award, where all visitors had the chance to vote for their favourite from each supplier or producer.
Camel Valley Pinot Noir Rosé topped the polls with the award being given to Lancaster-based Bowland Wines, a new online supplier of English wines.
Organiser Janet Harrison, who lives in West Didsbury, and is the owner of Cracking Wine, was thrilled by the response to the event. ‘People are already asking when the next one is. The feedback has been truly amazing.’
