Andoversford is home to the Cotswold Point-to-Point, a much loved fixture in Gloucestershire’s sporting and social calendar

There’s fun for all the family at Andoversford Races on Sunday April 10, six miles east of Cheltenham on the A40. Six competitive steeplechases are prefaced by pony racing to unearth tomorrow’s champions. There’s plenty to celebrate at Andoversford this year including a new feature – the Andoversford Grand Annual Chase, celebrating one of Gloucestershire’s oldest races, first run over the Andoversford course in 1834. A valuable meeting in the pointing calendar, the programme will attract some highly competitive racing.

But Andoversford isn’t just about horses. There’s a hound parade, children’s entertainments, including go-carting, bouncy castles, and a visit from Mr Punch! And there’s a chance to unwind at the shops and browse an eclectic variety of goods ranging from garden ornaments to stylish belts, trips to Sudeley or goodies from the delicatessen at Toddington Stores. Rub shoulders with friends and family or the rich and famous, all enjoying the sports.

There’s also a broad range of food options, from the Village Eatery & Goffs Jouster Bar, where Mediterranean wraps and pizza compete with 5* Ellenborough Park roasts. There’s Sunday lunch too in the trackside marquee, bookable in advance at £68 per person or £500 for a table.

Andoversford Races is racing in the raw – up close and personal to the action where you can entertain the family for just £10 per person (u16s go free). Gates open at 11am. For further details and to book, visit www.andoversfordraces.co.uk
