What’s your idea of a perfect weekend? Clearing my inbox Friday afternoon, making a dash to Manchester airport and heading to somewhere hot for a nice, chilled weekend. Do you cook or are you cooked for? I must admit that my culinary expertise is slightly limited so I would have to say being cooked for! I am spoilt in work to have an amazing Italian chef in Cafe Bar Arighi who can whip up the most fantastic dishes. Favourite restaurant and who is most likely to be your dining companion(s)? There is a family owned Turkish restaurant in Alderley Edge where I live called Konak who do the most fantastic dishes and it has a great atmosphere. There with a bottle (or two) of fine wine surrounded by a group of close friends…perfect! And of course there’s Gusto’s in Alderley - a fantastic spot with great service."
Putting reality aside, it’s that old chestnut about which five famous people - living or dead - you’d most enjoy the company of at your dinner party? Piers Morgan, Mohammad Ali, Marco Polo, Princess Diana, Nelson Mandela. Gone for a real eclectic mix...can you imagine the banter between Mohammad Ali and Piers Morgan..priceless!! What’s your favourite holiday destination? Obviously being from Italian origin, I love going there as much as I can. My favourite place to date is the Amalfi Coast…breathtaking. Whose talent would you like to steal and why? I would have to go for Ryan Giggs’ left foot so my five aside team can finally win our league! Your favourite song? Loving the song "Bones" by the Killers at the moment. What was the last book you really enjoyed reading? Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts. It is an account of the real life adventures of the author and it is a sensational read. Who do you regard as a modern day hero? Simple...Nelson Mandela. What are you most looking forward to this particular weekend? ...The start!!
