Art in the Park, a community charity event at Oulton Park, successfully raised around £13,000 for five Cheshire hospices. Organised by Cheshire’s High Sheriff, Susan Sellers, the event featured works from more than 40 professional artists, who showcased a range of paintings, photography, sculptures, ceramics and more.
A raffle helped to raise nearly £2,000, with local Cheshire businesses donating prizes such as an overnight stay at The Hollies Little Budworth and tea for two at Ciro’s Brassserie at the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel and Spa.
High Sheriff, Susan Sellers, said: ‘The whole event was most pleasing. I had three aims: the first to have an exhibition of professional artists, the second to have an event at Oulton Park and bring people to it who possibly have never visited or not been for a while, and the third was to raise awareness for the hospices. It was a free event for the whole community to get behind, and I definitely think we achieved that.’
