£1,120 was raised for the East Lancashire Hospice,

Blackburn Incorporated Law Association’s annual dinner took place at Ewood Park, the home of Blackburn Rovers, bringing together more than 130 legal professionals and raising £1,120 for the East Lancashire Hospice, BiLA’s chosen charity of the year.

After president John Myles, a partner in Forbes Solicitors, welcomed the gathering, a delicious dinner was enjoyed before a live band entertained guests while they mingled with old friends and reflected on the past year. The toast to the Association, preceded by an amusing speech, was proposed by District Judge Roger Bury, a past president in 1999. John said: ‘We are delighted to support East Lancashire Hospice. We know that without charitable donations such as these, the hospice is not able to achieve all it does for those in our region who need their services most.’
