A special invitation-only dinner hosted by Boodles raised much-needed funds for Debate Mate, an educational charity.

It is dedicated to improving social mobility and teaching key skills through debating programmes and student and teacher training. The glitzy event at the Manchester city centre store was organised by Boodles jewellers and long-time Debate Mate supporter Lisa Morton, MD of Manchester PR agency Roland Dransfield.

Guests at the exclusive event enjoyed a debate by pupils from Walkden High School in Worsley, followed by a rousing speech by Debate Mate managing director, Scarlett McCabe. Several significant financial contributions to the charity were made on the night. w
