Set your alarms bright and early as the Princess Pavilion in Falmouth will be hosting a ‘Breakfast Boogie’ on April 6

Mindfulness, meditation and yoga - could ‘rave’ be the next big wellbeing word? From individuals needing to shake off some work stress, to families looking to spice up the Easter break, Breakfast Boogie is an opportunity for everybody to take to the dance floor and release endorphins.

On Saturday, April 6, Empower Events will host Cornwall’s first ever morning rave at the Princess Pavilion in Falmouth. With the daylights out and disco lights on, rave-goers will enter a topsy-turvy world of partying fresh out of bed from 9-11am. The morning will start with breakfast and a Zumba fitness class for the over 18s before the doors open to all ages from 10am with circus performances, hip-hop dancers and a live DJ. All donations will go to the mental health charity, Mind.

Empower Events recognises that the wider community will benefit from a good boogie. Dancing is beneficial for people of all ages and abilities, according to a survey directed by the Department of Health. Children participants were reported to have made significant gains in social skills and self-esteem after dancing, while 70% of adult participants reported that dancing made them feel more active, enthusiastic and inspired.
