Nearly £4,000 was raised for the charity.

It was a night of charitable giving at the Leigh Sports Village as the West Lancashire branch of Breast Cancer Now held their annual charity dinner.

The evening was attended by ninety-five people who in total managed to raise nearly £4,000 for the charity.

The evening consisted of a decadent four-course meal that also included a game of stand up bingo, when a lucky guest won £50. A grand auction took place during the evening with prizes consisting of a week’s stay at a villa in Tenerife, a six course taster menu at Northcote in Blackburn and many other luxurious items.

The event was organised by Leigh local Barbara Cain with a little bit of guidance from the committee. She said guests enjoyed a wonderful evening while helping raise money for a worthwhile cause.
