The Brownlee Foundation also benefits from charity event

Guests including Olympic triathletes Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee, Yorkshire Cricket Club head coach Andrew Gale, former footballer John Hendrie and TV’s The Yorkshire Vet, Julian Norton helped to raise more than £4,000 for charity during a lunch at the Devonshire Arms Hotel and Spa at Bolton Abbey.

The Brownlee Brothers shared anecdotes from their Olympic days and talked about their own charity, The Brownlee Foundation, set up to encourage children to take part in triathlons. The event raised over £3,700 for Yorkshire Air Ambulance and £750 for The Brownlee Foundation. The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is the hotel’s chosen charity and the total so far this year has reached £15, 000.
