The Tropicana-themed day of entertainment raised £60,000

One of the 350 guests at this year’s Children’s Adventure Farm Trust ladies lunch will be spending a day on the set of Cold Feet and could appear in a scene with charity patron John Thomson.

Among the other prizes in the auction were Katy Perry concert tickets and an overnight stay at Gilpin Hotel and Lake House in Bowness.

The Tropicana-themed day of entertainment, at The Mere Golf Resort and Spa, raised £60,000 which will help the charity to provide holidays for seriously ill, disabled and disadvantaged children.

Organiser Pippa Watton said: ‘Just when we think our ladies’ lunch can’t get any better, we’re proved wrong. This year’s event was a record-breaker and raised £14,000 more than last year. Our ladies never let us down when it comes to fundraising and fun.’
