More than 270 guests attended a charity ball in aid of Cash for Kids. Held at The Villa, Wrea Green, the Great Gatsby themed event raised over £40,100 for the children’s charity which supports disabled and disadvantaged local children and young people.

A further £8,000 has been added from Barclays at other Cash for Kids events. Guests at the evening, which was hosted by Danny Bee, enjoyed dancing from the My Stage Company, music from The Accused and entertainment from Phil Graham Magic.

Nikki Thompson, charity manager at Cash for Kids, said: ‘It was a truly amazing evening and the support from the Barclays team over the last few years has just been incredible.

‘This money will help thousands of local children who are ill, have life limiting conditions or who are living in really difficult circumstances. They have made a real difference and we are eternally grateful and we cannot wait to help thousands more children thanks to their support.’
