Dalglish family host a glitzy charity ball

A fabulous charity ball was held in the grounds of Formby Hall Golf Resort and Spa. The Marina Dalglish Grand Ball, which was attended by 500 guests including Alan Hansen and John Bishop, raised over £250,000.

All proceeds will go to help cancer sufferers and their families on Merseyside.

Boodles supported the appeal for the 10th year running by donating a gold and diamond Blossom ring while other auction prizes included the star prize of a Bentley Continental GTC V8 and Emirates Business class flights to Dubai.

Marina Dalglish said: ‘Kenny and I are again overwhelmed by the generosity of guests who dug deep into their pockets on the night. We also thank everyone who contributed to the raffle and auction.’
