The Brighton Charity Ball organised by FunkyLush Events and supported by Gifts for Angels was held in the beautiful Clarence Suite at The Brighton Hilton Metropole Hotel, on Saturday 4th October 2014 to raise much needed funds for Brain Tumour Research and in memory of Lola Rice, aged two, who sadly passed away in 2006 soon after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.

Brain Tumour Research was launched in 2009 to raise awareness of, and funding for, scientific research into brain tumours, the biggest cancer killer of children and adults less than 40 years of age and to improve outcomes for patients.

The main aim of the Brighton Charity Ball was to raise as much money as possible for Brain Tumour Research, a very deserving and particularly underfunded charity, and to provide the 141 guests that attended, all of whom looked stunning in their evening dresses and dinner jackets, with a stylish, entertaining and memorable experience.

There were many highlights throughout the evening including fantastic live entertainment from singer Matthew Vankan and local band Brighton Soul Review, also impressing guests with his close up magic was local and talented magician Tony Charles. The stunning Showgirls in their wonderful costumes wowed and welcomed the guests and did a wonderful job of promoting sales of raffle tickets too. DJ Marc James, finished off the evening with 3 hours of music continually filling the dance floor until the evening came to a close at 2am.

A grand total of £5680.87 was raised for Brain Tumour Research through a combination of ticket sales, auction items, raffle ticket sales and Photo Chambers photo booth who kindly donated all their evenings proceeds to the charity.

We are very grateful to all those people and organisations that made this possible by donating sponsorship funds, raffle & auction prizes, their time, and of course, to all those that attended the evening for their incredible generosity and support. We would especially like to extend special thanks to our main sponsor of the evening Profile Model Management, and to the staff at The Brighton Hilton Metropole who provided a first class service throughout the evening.

As the event was such a great success, there are already plans to organise a further Brighton Charity Ball.
