As part of Festomane, The Stroud Festival of Manufacturing and Engineering a week long series of
events, Renishaw one of the events key partners is holding an opportunity for girls interested in the
Manufacturing Industry. There’s never been a better time to study Maths, Physics, Chemistry and
D&T. Visual effects for video games, green energy, mobile technology, forensic science, transport
systems, food industry... the range of career options is vast and this event will help you build your
vision for the future.
Girl Power is a series of fun, interactive workshops and talks designed to help you and your family
better understand the variety of career options in science, technology, engineering and
manufacturing. Imagine a future where you have the potential to change the world and make an
impact - where you could bring to life your ideas.
With workshops from Dairy Crest, Airbus, Snow Business, the Royal Academy of Engineering, and
Renishaw, the event is free to attend for girls in Years 9 to 13, accompanied by a parent or guardian
This informative event is FREE TO ATTEND for girls age 14 - 18. Each girl must be accompanied by
a parent or guardian (over 18). Teachers and careers advisors also welcome.
