A glamorous lunch has raised thousands for two charities

BBC Manchester radio presenter Chelsea Norris has helped to raise over £10,000 for two charities at a sparkling ladies’ lunch at Hallmark Hotel, Handforth. A prosecco reception greeted 350 guests who enjoyed a performance from singer Paul Pashley as they arrived, followed by winners of Take That’s The Band competition, Five to Five and magic from Sam Fitton. There was also fashion was from Fuzzy Goose in Cheadle Hulme and a raffle and auction.

‘The event was a huge success, raising money for St Ann’s Hospice where my nana died and Once Upon a Smile bereavement charity for children. They’ve been helping families who were involved in the Manchester Arena Bombing but they also help families who have suddenly lost someone - and help children to understand. We were all on a rollercoaster of emotions, crying from hearing the most heartfelt stories from both charities and then laughing, singing and dancing. To everyone who came or supported in anyway, thank you so much.’
