A phenomenal £130,000 was raised at the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust’s Love Boat Ball.
The Millington-based charity staged the occasion at The Mere Golf Resort and Spa. Staff dressed in nautical costumes and greeted the 370 guests as they boarded the CAFT Princess, handing out Hawaiian and tequila sunrise cocktails. Patrons Jason Manford and Dame Sarah and Barney Storey MBE attended, alongside footballers Patrick Vieira and Joe Hart.
Events fundraiser Pippa Watton, said: ‘Every year we are blown away by the generosity of our guests and this year was no exception. To raise £130,000 in just one night is astounding and this money will make such a huge difference to the children visiting us.’
