Circus themed event helps to raise £35,000

Amazing aerial acts, fire eaters and stilt walkers all entertained partygoers at the annual Rossendale Hospice ball.

Held at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester, the Cirque Magnifique ball was enjoyed by more than 270 guests who helped raise £35,000 for the hospice.

The special events committee created some fabulous themed decorations which ranged from enormous popcorn boxes to huge lollipop and candyfloss creations.

Sam Morris, fundraising manager at the hospice, said: ‘The hospice is truly grateful to the special events committee who work so hard to make our flagship event such a huge success. They couldn’t have done it without the support of the guests and everyone who donated prizes including the fantastic sponsorship we received.’
