The annual dinner for members of Derbyshire’s Lieutenancy took place in mid-June at Hassop Hall, near Bakewell.

Lord-Lieutenant Mr William Tucker welcomed some of the 44 active Deputy Lieutenants, including Andrew Allsop, Brell Ewart, Terry McDermott and Marvin Cooke, who were appointed earlier this year.

The evening commenced with a drinks reception which was followed by an excellent meal. Guests enjoyed the lovely surroundings of the Hall, whose history dates back to the Domesday Book.

The High Sheriff of Derbyshire Lord Burlington was a guest of the Lieutenancy and the Lord-Lieutenant was also pleased to have the opportunity of introducing his colleagues to the new Bishop of Derby, the Rt Revd Libby Lane who gave a short address.
