The Titanic hotel in Liverpool hosted a charity event in aid of raising money and awareness of children’s hospice, Derian House.

The ball was organised by Phil Rainford, who earlier this year sky-dived for the charity, and was attended by 71 people. A silent auction and raffle, which included prizes such as a £500 voucher for fashion designer Philip Armstrong and a wine tasting, helped raise £3,500.

Phil Rainford said: ‘It was great to see a room full of people supporting such a fantastic cause. It was a huge success and more than anything raised money for a superb charity.’
