Find out what Fishermans’ Friend Jon Cleave treasures, as the lead actor of darkly comic short film Black Car Home takes part in a special event in Stroud on June 22 featuring the film’s car and with audience participation.

Jon Cleave, known for being the MC and bass singer of the Fisherman’s Friends and star of Black Car Home filmed locally in Gloucestershire, will explore with the audience’s help what it is like living in the back of a car, using the actual vehicle from the film.

The audience are invited to bring a few of their “desert island treasures” with them to participate with Jon.

The short film, directed by Oscar, Bafta and Emmy nominated David Pearson of Stroud-based Arturi, will be aired during the event, with a chance to find out how the film was made, and how people can be part of its future story as a full length feature film.

Black Car Home is set during Christmas. Tatiana, a feisty Latin American illegal immigrant, is thrown overboard from a ship and told to ‘swim’. She is expecting to find New York, not a mud flat at Oldbury-on-Severn. She is rescued from freezing mud by Nathan, a rough giant of a man who lives in a makeshift camp by the beach. As their quirky friendship grows, an unexpected visitor launches them on their adventure.
