The Valley (previously known as Evesham Country Park), has received planning permission from Wychavon District Council for Diggerland to be built on the redeveloped site. It will be the first in the region, joining Diggerland UK Theme Parks in Kent, Devon, Durham and Yorkshire.

Diggerland will open at The Valley in 2016 and will cover over five acres of land, housing a number of exciting rides and attractions. Both children and adults will be able to ride, drive and operate real full size construction machinery. Diggerland will join an already impressive range of activities at growing shopping, leisure and adventure destination, including The Valley Castle Adventure Playground, Evesham Vale Light Railway and the relaxed shopping village which has seen many new retailers open over the last few months.

Spencer Gower, Eagle One Retail Asset Manager, said: “Diggerland is the ‘Ultimate Adventure Park’ and we are delighted to gain planning permission to bring it to The Valley. Diggerland is ideal for an action packed day out, and will complement our existing shopping and leisure offer perfectly.”

Councillor Richard Morris, Board Member for Economy and Housing, Wychavon District Council, said: “I am delighted that Diggerland is going ahead with this investment at The Valley as I know it will prove very popular for families across the Midlands and provide a major boost to tourism in Evesham and the district. We look forward to working with Diggerland and The Valley to encourage visitors to make good use of other excellent attractions, hotels and restaurants in the area.”
