Yeovil’s Quedam Shopping Centre is offering the ultimate Christmas experience, complete with polar bears, elves, snowmen, and of course Santa Claus himself
The countdown to Christmas has started so it's time to schedule in those family days out where you can create happy festive memories, right on your doorstep. The Quedam Shopping Centre, in the heart of Yeovil has risen to the occasion and not only installed some furniture that even Santa's Elves would be impressed with but published a whole host of events with Christmas cheer! Here are a few of our favourite things…
1.Back for the winter, Hamish the Polar Bear is chilling at the top of the Quedam outside Topshop and USC Fashion. Hamish (named by local competition winner Hannah Dunston and her two year old daughter Olivia after the cub that was born in Scotland) is around until the 6th January to take a seat and have your photo taken, he's super friendly and extremely photogenic!
2.New for 2019, find the three Christmas pods that are located around the Centre, crawl in the back and, as if like magic, turn into an Elf, Snowman or Santa Claus himself. Customers have been sending their festive photos into the Quedam using @QuedamCentre or #QuedamYeovil - join in the fun.
3.The sleigh bells are ringing! Another new piece for this year is the Quedam Sleigh, purpose built and located in Ivel Square, you can fit a family of five in the sleigh to create a perfect family photo to pop on your mantel this year.
4.A sweet treat from Yeovil Hospital Charity, The Fencing Centre Yeovil and The Quedam… a newly decorated and extended Santa's Grotto. For just £5 which goes to the Breast Cancer Unit Appeal, the little ones can visit Santa between 28th November - 22nd December on Thursdays (6-8pm), Saturdays (10am - 4pm) and Sundays (10am-4pm).
5.Park for free whilst shopping into the night. Enjoy free parking from 3-8pm on Thursdays from 28th November - 19th December at the Quedam Car Park whilst selected stores stay open until 8pm; So you can pop into town straight from school, work or after dinner to pick up those stocking fillers and not worry about the charge. Cheers Quedam!
