Four Yorkshire contenders brought home prizes from the National Women in Business Awards at the Royal Armouries, Leeds, organised by Forward Ladies, a Yorkshire-based national support organisation for business women.

Carolyn Pearson of Maiden-Voyage, Leeds, the only specialist network connecting female business travellers globally, won the Digital/Online Business Woman award; Hannah Duraid from Sheffield who launched the Great Escape Game, a live escape room experience, was named Young Entrepreneur; Vicki Davenport of The Pink Link, Huddersfield, which specialises in the express distribution of small consignments of palletised freight throughout the UK and Europe, took the Inspiring Leader award and Joanna Stephenson of PHD Marketing from Pontefract, which supplies a range of marketing and communications services to manufacturing and distribution businesses across the UK, Europe and the Middle East, won the Start-up Business Woman award.
