Celebrate the success of fabulous Yorkshire businesswomen
It's time for the brightest and best women in Yorkshire to shout about their success. The Forward Ladies organisation is making a last call for nominations for its prestigious FL National Awards & Summit , which recognises outstanding female business leaders and Agents of Change across the UK. Forward Ladies is the UK's largest and most diverse professional women's organisation and since 1999 has worked closely with some of the biggest names in business, creating innovative programmes designed to help women achieve their potential, whilst helping companies achieve much-needed diversity in leadership. Last year's awards attracted an astonishing number of nominations, with over 1,800 successful business women striving for a coveted award. Past winners include Philanthropist and Technology Entrepreneur Dame Stephanie Shirley, who was given a Lifetime Achievement award.
Women can either self-nominate or be nominated by a colleague. Categories include Corporate Leader, Science Technology Engineer and Mathematics (STEM) Leader, Mentor of the Year, Female Entrepreneur and many more. This year, companies successful in recruiting, retaining and advancing women will also be recognised.
Yorkshire's regional event will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Newcastle covering nominations from Yorkshire, the North East and Scotland on Friday 20th September. National winners will be announced at the prestigious Grand Final ceremony on Friday 29th November at the Royal Armouries, Leeds.
Winners will receive media exposure, the opportunity to meet the panel of influential judges and an invitation to join an exclusive alumni support network.
