Recruitment agency gap personnel raised £20,000 for two young brothers diagnosed with the same rare and life-limiting disorder, Fanconi Anaemia (FA), through a black-tie charity ball at Chester’s Carden Park Hotel.

Two hundred colleagues, friends and family came together for a three-course meal, entertainment and to raise money to help find a cure for the boys’ condition through an online silent auction. Prizes were donated by gap employees, clients, family and friends, as well as various suppliers and local businesses. Among many incredible items up for grabs was a holiday to Florida and a wedding videographer package. Zach and Finley Jones, aged six and eight, from Wrexham, were both diagnosed with FA – a serious, genetic blood disorder causing bone marrow failure and other abnormalities – in 2018.
