The Castle Hotel’s latest gastronomic evening was a huge success.

Head chef Liam Finnegan was joined by guest chef Dominic Chapman, son of proprietors Kit and Louise Chapman.

Dominic, who runs the kitchens at The Royal Oak, Paley Street, brought some of his favourite award-winning dishes to The Castle in Taunton for the evening.

Guests were welcomed with Prosecco di Valdobbiadene and canapés of Scotch eggs, smoked salmon with beetroot and goats cheese and walnut, served in the beautiful setting of the hotel’s Wisteria Room.

Guests were then called through to the Garden Room to enjoy a lavish five-course menu teamed with some terrific wine.
