Expanding delivered wholesale company, Creed Foodservice, scooped a Gold Medal at the Federation of Wholesale Distributors’ Annual Award Ceremony in London.

Creed Foodservice beat off stiff opposition to win the top award in the Wholesaler Service to Foodservice category, which recognises the ongoing improvement of wholesalers’ propositions and customer service to caterers.

“We are extremely proud to be recognised with a FWD Gold Medal Award at such a prestigious national event,” said Creed Foodservice Managing Director, Philip de Ternant. “The award is a testament to the way that our staff are delivering quality service to our customers on a day-to-day basis. We believe in developing long term relationships with our customers. Leading service levels are a fundamental part of this and have been a key focus for all areas of the business this year.”

Judges’ comments highlighted the fact that Creed’s commitment to caterers has been reflected in the company’s continual improvements in service over the last year. They were particularly impressed by the work of Creed Business Development Managers who regularly use fresh produce as a key hook and margin opportunity for customers. Creed is also able to offer customers gluten free alternatives which are set to be popular with the imminent changes to allergen legislation. This is in addition to Creed’s latest allergen tool which allows caterers to search by product code and receive a list of allergens contained in the specified product.

Creed Foodservice supplies high quality food and non-food products to more than 2000 customers in the ‘out of home’ sector and has been successful previously at the FWD Gold Medal Awards. Last year, delivery driver Tony Beardsall won the Gold Medal Driver of the Year award and Creed Foodservice won the Wholesale Service to Caterers category in 2011.
