The 150th anniversary of the opening of Hadlow Road Station, Willaston, was celebrated with a special commemorative event.
Hosted by Friends of Hadlow Road Station, the event was timed to be exactly 150 years after opening the station as part of the branch line from Hooton to West Kirby.
A National Lottery grant of over £4,700 helped fund the event, which was attended by nearly 350 people. Visitors enjoyed performances from the City of Chester Brass Band, Hadlow Green Singers, Duo of Harmonies, Simon le Barber and dancing from the Mersey Morris Men. Pupils from Neston High School were also there, dressed as Victorian travellers
