Helping NHS workers and the vulnerable

Staff at The Peat Spade in Longstock are offering a 15% discount to those working in the NHS to thank them for their hard work during this time of need.

The pub has announced it will also be working closely with local suppliers to deliver food parcels to those most vulnerable within the Stockbridge area as as well a takeaway menu.



Virtual exhibition

A new exhibition at one of the south coast’s most exciting new venues will open with a virtual launch.

Those Who Look Out & Those Who Look Back by Laura Eldret and Paul Vivian was due to open on Saturday March 21st at God’s House Tower in Southampton. But due to the Coronavirus crisis the venue has had to temporarily close, meaning the opening event will now be streamed online.



Luxury wine delivery

If you’re going to have a glass of wine during your lockdown, you might as well go all out.

Appeal to assist provision of welfare packs to care meals across Southampton

City Catering runs Southampton’s care meals service for elderly and vulnerable adults, delivering hot, nutritious meals on a daily basis; the delivery team checks on welfare too, and raises flags when they spot issues with customers’ wellbeing. They are also on hand for a chat, to address the day-to-day issue of social isolation affecting the elderly.
