Hanna Miraftab joined ITVBe’s hit show Real Housewives of Cheshire in 2018, making it a very busy year for this young success story.
If you watch ITV’s hit TV show The Real Housewives of Cheshire, you will already be familiar with the newest arrival, Hanna Miraftab, who joined the show at the start of last season with her fiancé Martin Kinsella, owner of Re-Enhance cosmetic clinic in Hale, Cheshire. Her opening statement, as the titles roll – “Own your success, and earn your own dress” - makes clear her attitude to life and her actions back her up beyond any form of doubt.
On meeting Hanna, I am struck by her tiny stature and intensely pretty features. She is delicately built, her Iranian heritage shining clear in big dark eyes and honey skin. She’s a vibrant ball of energy, her words tumble one over the other and she says nothing that is vague or beside the point. To quote the bard, “And though she be but little, she is fierce.” Her ambition and drive have brought her great success at a young age, but when did it all start?
‘When I was younger I didn’t have a clue what I wanted to do, so I did a lot of work experience from 13 or 14 years old. I went to see how lots of different professions worked, from a doctor’s surgery to a PR agency. Academically I was much stronger in the arts, I struggled with the sciences quite a lot, so I had a look into lots of different professions.
‘When I did dentistry work experience I just loved the dentist that I was working with, he was brilliant and I liked that he really knew all the patients - and also he was his own boss and in charge of his own time. I used to say to him “oh but I really like art” and he’d say, “yes, but dentistry is art – you’ve got to be good at art!” In a way it seemed to be all the things I was already good at – chatting to people, communication skills, being creative…so he really sold it to me and I decided that this was what I wanted to do!
It was in dental school that Hanna decided that she would one day own her own dental clinic and set herself the challenge of achieving her dream before the age of 30 – a challenge she met by completing the purchase of her clinic, Kiln Lane Dental in St. Helens, the day before her 30th birthday.
It seems that 2018 has been the year of Hanna; not only did she purchase her own clinic, but she got engaged to the man of her dreams, joined the cast of Real Housewives of Cheshire and moved to a new home in Hale.

‘It’s been a mad busy time, I can’t tell you how crazy – it’s been an absolute whirlwind!’
That brings me to the big question – why did she and fiancé Martin sign up for the show? It’s certainly no walk in the park, for any of the participants.
‘Martin and I have really serious jobs. It’s hard work, it’s long hours, it’s extreme concentration from nine to five. I thought it might be fun to show off a different side of my character. I am quite glamorous, I like to dress up and like going out…we live in Cheshire, we’ve got a lifestyle, but we’ve also worked very hard for it.
‘I’m not dependent on Martin, I have made my own money and if I can inspire young girls…nowadays the pressure on girls is just shocking and life is becoming more and more materialistic. Don’t get me wrong, I like material things, but at the same time I think if you work for it and earn it that’s better, as you’re never left with nothing and if this show gives me the opportunity to showcase myself as a career woman, who’s done it on my own, then that’s great - and if it inspires any girls to think “well, I can do that” then that, for me, would be the best reason for joining the show.’
