Mark Mitchell, High Sheriff of Cheshire, hosted an afternoon at his Willaston home to celebrate all that’s great about Cheshire.

Earlier this year Mark Mitchell was declared High Sheriff of Cheshire at a grand ceremony at Chester Cathedral. His Summer Garden Party - held in the grounds of the beautiful Willaston home he shares with wife Anita and two sons - may have been a less formal affair but it was equally as packed with the great and the good of Cheshire society.

In fact around 300 guests milled on the manicured lawns and enjoyed entertainment by local groups including dance students from The Hammond School, Chester and the Band and Drums of the Cheshire Constabulary. The sun shone as guests sipped champagne and were treated to afternoon-tea-themed canapés before Mark's sons, James and Elliot, delivered tubs of Cheshire Farm Ice-cream by customised bicycle! 'I want to celebrate everything that's wonderful about Cheshire,' said Mark of the event. He certainly did that. Guests included Chief Constable Darren Martland, Chief Fire Officer Mark Cashin, Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire, David Briggs, as well as representatives from Chester Cathedral, the armed forces, key charities, other member from the Cheshire Lieutenancy and senior managers from Mitchell Group.
