Half-term Hallowe’en fun at the Cotswold Wildlife Park, with live wolverines to feed. Don’t worry, they’re not as dangerous as their name suggests!

During Howl-o-ween, from October 26 to November 2, there will be a special Wolverine Talk and Feed daily at 2.30pm. There will also be spooky train rides and a Pumpkin Patch, where the gardening team work their magic on pumpkins turning them into animals, people and ghosts.

The Brass Rubbing Centre is open in the Manor House with various indoor animal exhibits including bats, reptiles and venomous snakes - as well as the biggest reticulated python in the UK, Barney, who measures twentysix feet long! There is also a re-furbished insect house with tarantulas and scorpions, and undercover areas by the wolves, wolverines and giraffe.

Also on site is a restaurant offering a selection of food and drink, including hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows, and cake (including a gluten free option).

A new feature for 2013 is the park’s Bat Encounter. Bat lovers can purchase a ‘bat encounter’ and feed the bats up close in the bat cave.

There are still tickets available for Howl-o-ween. For more details visit: www.cotswoldwildlifepark.co.uk/get-involved/animal-encounters.htm
