Women professionals attended the Inspiring Women in Dentistry conference at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Leeds.
Organised by award-winning Yorkshire dentists Dr Andrea Ubhi and Dr Martina Hodgson, the event which coincided with International Women’s Day, involved presentations by women inside and outside of dentistry with guest speaker, gold medal-winning athlete Sally Gunnell OBE.
Andrea and Martina set up Inspiring Women in Dentistry in 2018 as a platform to network, share experiences, learn from each other and aspire to achieve more.
All the profits made from Inspiring Women in Dentistry 2020 are going to the charity Asha Nepal which cares for survivors of trafficking and severe violence. Dr Andrea Ubhi is the chair of Asha Nepal.
