It was a star-studded but spooky event for The James Milner Foundation’s annual charity ball at Event City near Manchester
Scores of famous sporting faces arrived at Event City in Manchester in support of the James Milner Foundation’s seventh annual charity ball, where they were met by a carnival unlike any other.
The spooky themed bash, organised for Liverpool FC player James’s charity by Entertainment Today, began with a champagne reception with circus artists including a ring master, sword swallowers and snake performers. Guests, including James’s current and former teammates Adam Lallana, Micah Richards, Gareth Barry, and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, enjoyed a three course dinner while they were entertained by an assortment of acts.
There was a guest appearance by The Voice finalists Belle Voci, from Cheshire. Auctioneer Jonny Gould took to the stage for a Live Charity Auction raising an incredible £70,000 for the Foundation. The host introduced Take That front-man Gary Barlow who received a rapturous welcome from the crowd. An incredible £170,000 was raised for the Foundation and the charities it supports, including NSPCC, Bloodwise, Help for Heroes and Motor Neurone Disease Association.
