Open day on Wednesday January 25th
At Kirkham Grammar School, we believe in the values of a traditional education alongside a drive towards modern ambition. The Junior School, founded in 1990, is situated opposite the Senior School and has a roll of 250 pupils aged from 3-11 years across the Pre-School, Infant and Junior School.
As well as enjoying its own state of the art facilities within the Junior School site, it also has access to Senior School facilities, including an Astroturf pitch and multi-purpose hall.
The Pre-School is designed to the highest specification, for children aged three and four years old. The facilities include a fully equipped playroom where children are able to access a range of resources and materials to support their play and learning.
Some children exhibit obvious ability in academic, sporting or creative endeavours from an early age; others do not, and may lack confidence as a result. We strive to discover the aptitudes, build the self-esteem and develop the potential of every one of these children. High levels of individual attention are central to achieving this aim, with the School’s excellent staff the key resource.
We see co-curricular opportunities, easily accessed and essential to every child’s full development. Girls’ and boys’ sport flourishes at all ages, a full musical scheme is in place and every child has the opportunity to appear in a theatrical production at least once a year. We believe Kirkham Grammar School exists for our children and therefore they must have the best.
